I think it was about 8 months. The reason I say, "I think" is because my SA actually surprised me with this one arriving early. I told my SA I was interested in this model, but not right now, and that I'd probably want to tie it to a promotion or something happening at some vague time in the future. My SA basically said well you know how Rolex works, if we request it now it'll take long enough to come in that there's no reason to worry about it arriving early. Turns out, my SA was right, and it was actually my promotion that got delayed haha. So then I had to ask myself whether or not I wanted to stick to my guns and only buy this after I got promoted, or just buy it now. After deliberation, it turns out I'm not a very romantic person and I just buy watches I like when I like and can afford them, so ya know, here we are. Still hoping I get promoted regardless, but maybe I'll celebrate with a bottle of champagne now that I've already got the big daddy watch haha

Fantastic! You can forget about your other watches for a while and enjoy your honeymoon. I'm sure they'll understand .

I think it’s a thing for everybody and every watch that it’s gonna look different top down vs in a mirror (as it appears to others and in photos taken of you) vs various angles etc. Perhaps the greatest strength of the DD of all eras is that it looks awesome and a bit different from every perspective for all types of wrists. Perhaps, but it’s got a lot of strengths. Yours may be the most righteous config and it looks awesome.
