Another First Patek incoming

I had posted an earlier thread regarding the piece I had finally decided on. It’s finally on my wrist and I’m thrilled. It’s the right one for me as it just fits my current lifestyle.

Very nice! Congratulations. It was one of the first Patek that I fell in love with due to its classic dial layout.

Thank you! I’m thrilled and relieved at the same time as I really struggled with what to settle on for my first. I’ll post better photos now that the experience of the day has settled

Thank you so much all. Very appreciative and such a departure from my current collection.

It's a very elegant and refined model, congratulations for your first Patek! You have the right to play with straps colors/materials now :)

Agreed, lovely configuration that's often overlooked but truly a nod to the heritage of the brand. Congrats OP.

This was always one of my favorites, Congratulations!

What other piece(s) were you weighing between as your first Patek?

Thank you! I would love any suggestions and/or photos of some options for straps.
The reason I chose this as my first is because I feel I can wear it in more casual situations (my lifestyle) and hopefully I can match some straps that will do that even more so. Haven’t been able to find any photos with different combinations yet.

5205 was the other consideration. The experience was so different than Rolex that I’m hooked (I’ve been warned this would happen). Our AD owns both Boutiques so the relationship is seamless.

I could see myself slowly moving some of my Sports models for an Aquanaut as well.

What is indeed nice with such watch is that you can go from dressy to an elegant touch of smart casual.

Aside of the usual colors, I would say I like "blue" and especially in a more vibrant tone, usually in a shiny finish to pair with a rose or yellow gold case.

Also, from dark to lighter greys, the combo would be nice.

As someone liking contrasts, I must say I would even consider a Suede grey (even if I don't know how well Suede material ages).

It's a lot easier if you can go to a boutique and test their strap samples with your watch :)

Thanks for the suggestions. I do plan to go to the boutique this week to look at some straps. I figured they were probably sick of me and needed a break
