I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on a full white-gold piece, and one of the things I noticed was that the link screws do not go all the way to the other end of the link. In other words, the female end is closed from the outside on the other side of the link. Normally, on stainless models, I would heat the female end with a blow dryer in order to loosen the loctite, since you can easily see the other end of the screw. On full gold models, would you still recommend using a blow dryer on the closed female end of the link, even though the end of the screw can't be seen? Would this even be effective at loosening the loctite at all?

Yes. My understanding is that the same process applies to PM. You’ll just want to be extra gentle not to force the screw if it still feels tight. Remember, you’re using a steel tool on a gold screw. Be gentle and go slow

I had a couple of WG Rolex and simply removed screws as I would a SS version. The key is the flat head 0.6 screwdriver. I uses the OEM panerai screwdriver which is am exact fit.

I have a heat gun (think melting shrink wrap) that I use as it gets it much hotter, much quicker than a hair dryer. Other than that, yeah, go for it and be sure to use a properly sized screwdriver.

I resized my Plat DD, the screws look fine and better than SS screws done by the AD. My only advice is go slow and use the correct tool. I got the horofix rolex tool off esslinger.
