SD43 Appreciation Post

The SD43 is certainly not for everyone, but I love mine and it gets more wrist time than any other timepiece in my collection. The splash of red, fully graduated bezel, and similarities to the iconic LN Submariner while being unique in its own way, and less common in the wild, are all things I love about it. Fellow SD43 fans, let’s see your pics.

Happy weekend everyone

My favorite Rolex , period ! When the SD43 was announced I knew it was the diver of a lifetime . The perfect watch , features , dimensions and style . I had just moved so I went to a new AD and was told good luck , we have a list a mile long . Two weeks later I was offered and bought the watch . I think even then people tried it and did not like it . Lucky for me . Enjoy the best diver on earth ,there’s truly no better dive watch .

Love the reference, it has everything I want in a diver. I just wish it were more comfortable on my wrist.

It is a great piece! I recently parted with mine and I must say the only reason I don’t miss it is because of how content I am with my new piece. But it could have easily been my one and done.

Alright, alright. Had the bluesy on, but this thread motivated me to switch out to the beautiful, one-and-only, SD43. God I love this piece

I love mine: it's gorgeous, built like a tank, and it's one of the few Rolex that doesn't look too small on my wrist.

There's one thing that kills me about it though. The watch is very top-heavy and it has a tendency to fall on my wrist while the clasp of the bracelet doesn't slide up and down with it. It's like the clasp is stuck or glued to my skin and doesn't move while the top of the watch does, which makes it extremely uncomfortable. I tried to micro-adjust it but it doesn't really help.

How are you guys dealing with this? Does it just not happen to anyone else or it doesn't really bother you?

Try tightening the bracelet which should prevent a lot of that case slippage.

take it to your AD and have them remove the diver extension. makes a big difference with comfort, at least in my opinion

There's no diver extension on the latest 126600 (which I own).

Wear this watch “or any watch really” snag and above wrist bone. You’ll never feel it’s even there. Trust me.

Much love for the "smaller" SD43. I love my DSSD JC 44mm 136660. It doesn't feel big at all and is a perfect weight.

I am going to give my SD43 some more wrist time when I get out of the honeymoon phase with my 124060.

Great watch if you have the wrist for it.
