Icon14 Headline news in my country and singapore

A 4 stars General armed forces of indonesia wearing Richard mille 011 Black kite/Asia boutique lmtd edition. Pic taken from Singapore straight time newspaper.

I guess this is the only time a 4 stars general wearing 100K watches outside the country and guess what? the newspaper from singapore make it big headlines about it. lol

From what we know as indonesian. This 4 stars general got 3.8+ millions dollars on his bank account. he listed it before at the KPK ( Corruption commision center )

Ha, not exactly the smartest thing to wear as a General in uniform while knowing pics will be taken. But hey, maybe it was a present from
his "brother".

Macho watch to match his general status, though not necessarily going down well in a society with many living in poverty

Some one with 3.8 million shouldn't have a 100k watch. You really want to wear 3% of your net worth on your wrist??!!

I know someone with around 400k and he wears a Daytona (around 3% not including other assets). If it's insured and other bills are already paid off, why not?

I bet a lot of people wear more than 3% of their net worth on their wrist!

Especially on here!

His family may have immense wealth. But even so, the optics of wearing such a pricey watch sends alarm bells...

For example: US General Petraeus made $19,566 per month ($234,803 per yr) as a 4 star General with 38 years of active Federal service. Certainly not a staggering figure for (at the time) the most senior man in uniform in the most advanced Army on the planet in all of history. All things considered, really not paifd well at all in comparison to the scope if responsibility.

*Figures found on line from a 2012 article on him:

Well done on his part with the watch. Perhaps a better political decision could be made with regards to the socioeconomic aspect??....

I love it ! That must be the new RM "dictator in training" limited edition. Vladimir Putin has been seen sporting the same while on his latest "tour" through the Ukraine.
