Greetings from Las Vegas
After 16 hours travelling time Dee and I arrived in Las Vegas yesterday morning We will be here for a week
I'm sure this town has doubled in size since I was hear 8 years ago. The watch shops in our hotel are amazing, 2 Rolex only shops, the saleman told me the have over 2500 Rolex's in stock. Plenty of diamonds on most of them I think. I did try on the new Explorer and a few Panerai's The view from our room is great SANY0312.JPG |

Nice ! Enjoy your Vegas trip my friend !!
The last time I was in Vegas (around 2002-2003 ish), they were just finishing the Hotel Paris. Vegas was really fun, exciting, and fast paced. We stayed for 3 days, and that was more than enough time to see everything, and have a little fun as well. Edit - I just looked up the Paris hotel in Vegas, only to find out that they opened in late 1999. WOW how time flies ! I haven't been there in over 10 years !! Time for another trip !!! lol |

Its about a 5 hour drive for us.....but its time for a trip.
We goto to Laughlin more than Vegas because we can stay at Harrah for free with comps.....and hope we win. Best win on a slot in Laughlin was in 2005? at Colorado Belle 10k on a dollar slot In Vegas was 2500 on a .25 slot in 2007 at Mirage My wife won 4k on video poker at Paris back in 01 or 02 I think. You CAN get lucky and walk out with a wallet full once in awhile Most of the time its empty |

Make sure you go to the "real" Vegas. Fremont St. Cheaper games, no shows but still a good distraction from the volcanos, tigers, and pyramids...

While you're there...if you like Thai food, get to a place called Lotus of Siam. Really good food and a well chosen wine list. Ask Bank (that's the guy's name) to choose some wine for you...he knows his list well.
Have a great time!

Have a great time, I take it that most of the shopping in that picture belongs to Dee? At least you are getting the benefit of a decent exchange rate.
All the best, Jules. |
