Hi Dave, has your 5970 gone, or just not in your signature?

My WG sub and Pepsi are gone. I have not had the pleasure of owning a 5970. I am still living thru those who have one.

for me the Patek please
I must say this particular Patek movement is stunning, it's on which model? I found the same pic on google but it says that it comes from the celestial 5102, which to my knowledge has a auto movement with micro rotor...

So you're really moving away from Rolex, to sell the sub and pepsi you really want to get away from the brand, same here at one point I had 4, all gone and I don't regret them 1 second

I sold 3 rolexes to get a Patek. While I have no regrets, I do still miss them, especially the daytona.

I think i mentioned this in another thread but I think the ALS data graph movement is just the most magnificent I have seen. Just looking at dial--- I have mixed opinions. I like the date and PR indicator.. but the simplicity of the Patek-----…. I can see why there is such a split opinion. Of course this is a Patek forum so not without various biases. I have not tried either on my wrist-- and because i have a small wrist, I would bet the Patek would feel better. I generally like darker dials but in this case-- i like the lighter dial and gold numbering…

Bruno, it's your photo so I'll go with whatever you decide, but are you sure it isn't the 29 535, because that's the ref stamped on it (bottom left area on photo)?

Both movements are gorgeous. But IMO the Dato just kicks ass.

It's like a miniature 3D city.
