Having read all the Watchout threads of old watches found in grandpa or grandma's sock drawer, I decided to give some grand kids an opportunity. I bought a 6917 for my mom's birthday. She's speechless and has officially retired the Timex. (Apologies for the poor picture quality, dad's hands were a bit shaky).

Thanks Guys! She has Googled it and is happy its' "not too expensive", which I think means it will be her daily wearer and not locked in the safe.
