Thanks! This one fills the spot for the 2000’s size big gold watch (for those of us who had such a spot) and it’s got a cool look and a unique complication. I don’t wear it often and am considering moving it on, but every time I take it out I find myself admiring it more than I remembered.

JLC from 1947, all original except winding stem and crown. HW is very smooth and accurate considering age. JLC in-house movement, but I don’t know the reference.

Good lord, remember to alternate which wrist you wear it on every day, unless you want your left bicep 20x bigger than your right.

Beautiful! I recently had a JLC restored from the early 50s. I'm going to update that post...

People forget or don’t know that watches from the forties were 34mm, 32mm, not glitzy, gaudy. The majority were hand winding. This 1947 model would have been prized because of the 18 K case. I was told by the dealer in Majorca that dial is paper. I don’t know, but it is flat, with a non-reflective surface.

**OFFICIAL JAEGER LE-COULTRE THREAD (and daily pics)**

Recently tried on this Master Control Calendar during a trip to Paris last month. I really like how this one looks on the strap. Kinda cool how the date hand jumps from 4:30 to 7:30 in a few discrete steps so as to not obscure your view of the moon phase. Also wonderful finish on the moon phase that you can’t capture in photos.

Tried on a few others and sized them up against my SeaQ. All were impressive and suite well with my watch.

Indeed it is, enjoy it! :)

Tell us your impressions after a few days, does it wear thick as the size may indicate?

It wears very nicely actually, not too thick (not more than an apple watch) and the fact that the lugs are bent makes it very comfortable. I always found a standard reverso a bit small but this one is just perfect. Many compliments received so far and I'm completely in love :)

Watched Teddy’s visit to JLC on YouTube and became a JLC believer. Have two, with plans for a third. …Hopefully sometime this year.

I have the same Master Control, it's keeping time incredibly well. What model is the one on the left?

It’s a Polaris Date (REF. Q906868J). Pictures cannot do the dial justice. The blue is absolutely mesmerizing in person. Especially outdoors. I can’t understand why this watch hasn’t been more popular because of that.
