I take Metro-North everyday, and I've seen my fair share of Subs, Daytonas, and DJ's, with a few women wearing Air Kings here and there. For the most part though I'd say the SS DJ's are the most popular. As of late, I have seen a few Panerai's although far fewer of those than Rolex.

Working in airports I see lots of everything. Not sure there's any one reference of Rolex, or any other brand, that I've seen more than another.

Strangely, the place I see them the most, is when I vacation in Disney World, Orlando. Seriously, I see SO many there. It could just be that there are SO many people there, but I see all kinds there in the parks.

I was having coffee with some friends today at a restaurant where they meet every morning. Among us there were two Rolex and while we were talking, a guy came by wearing what looked like a Daytona.
On his way back to the register, I asked him if that was a Daytona and he stopped to chat and told me all about it. He said he comes to this site sometimes. I think it's cool when a couple of WISes can stop and talk watches, even if for only a brief moment.

Steel Sub is the most common I see by far, less often a TT Sub or TT DJ or steel GMT, once in a while something else, e.g. last week I saw a white dial Exp II, a couple of weeks ago saw a black dial Daytona.

I see a TT GMT (16713) occasionally but that's the only one.

When I go to manager meetings--usually see SS Subs, a DD here and there, and DJ's. That about covers it.......Although one guy had the new Sub C on last meeting we had.

Few & far between in this neck of the woods
Theres one of the guys in the telecoms team for the bank I'm contracting with wearing a Sub date & he's the only one at bank I've spotted Most times I spot rolex are on holiday. Having said that Scotland is not exactly renowed for its warm weather so perhaps jumpers & jackets put me at a "spotting" disadvantage !!! |

I deal with lawyers a great deal - I see DJs on the older guys, TT GMTs and Subs on the middle-aged guys, and SS Subs and GMTs on a few.
When I'm happy (not around lawyers) I see a lot of APs, actually.

I am in NYC as well and I see a ton of the following: Sub, GMTIIc, Various Datejusts, Daytona, Day Date and occasionally Explorer II. I also see a lot of guys wearing Panerai. I have seen a several Panerai watches in the past year. I saw my first Patek on a guy sitting next to me at a bar last week.

Subs, DJ, DD's are the most common I see. Very rare to see a Daytona here in San Antonio, Tx. Occasional TT subs. I have only seen one LV here in SA.

Subs in Philly. Now that my friends are asking me to source Rolexs for them I see more around the office than I have in the past.

In the aviation biz, I used to see TT GMT's, SS GMT's and Subs all the time.
With all the cuts (post 9/11), I see a few SS GMT's and SS Subs. A few Breitlings and tons of plastic watches are the majority... As I was walking to the store in Miami the other day (wearing shorts, t-shirt, ball cap and Sub), I passed another guy about my age wearing the same get up. Just another pilot on a layover. TC |

I mostly see Casio and Timex watches. Every so often, I'd catch an officer wearing a Submariner, GMT, or a Seamaster.

So funny and true. When I go to Disneyland, every line I stand in has about 5 sub dates, it's ridiculous. It really makes you realise how common these watches are.

Generally I see GMTII, DJ, Subs, and the odd sea dweller. There is a guy who works in a cafe I visit at the weekends who has a GV and we have chatted watches, another customer has a coke GMTII and we have exchanged nods.
Different story while I was on vacation in Spain (Marbella/P Banus). A few gold Subs, TT Daytonas, TT Subs, gold DDs. Seems bling was in. |
