Just a little more colour...........please!

I wish Rolex had kept the green date for the GMTIIC in TT and SS.

It seems the green date only made it to the 18K model of the GMTIIC.

Really was it too much for Rolex to just top off the green 24hour hand and the green GMT-MASTER II on the dial with a beautiful green date. It wouldn't have been going too far would it????????????????? Really it would be quite a tasteful eye-candy touch

Also what about a little red on the 'Deepsea' both for the name and the date. Just a tiny splash of colour can make a huge visual difference, as is clearly illustrated by the MilgaussGV.

Never

knew there is model with green date. thought red date is rare enough!
So all the Green goes with anniversary model only?

Yeah, the TT and SS models of the GMTIIC only got the date wheel with black lettering on a white background.

Seems a bit silly to me, but who am I to say Rolex made a mistake

Actually I think the GMT IIc looks better with the black date. Wouldn't change a thing.

I think it may have been a bit much. I agree with you about the red on the dial, I love how it looks on the YM and TOG...I even like the red second hand, but again, that be a bit much!

The green looks kinda cool however Rolex will not adopt the policy on other watches because ethey have heard of Larry's severe dislike of the colour green on watches!!!!!!!

LOL - all these people with aversions to certain colors on watches. Add Larry to the green camp. Ed (Rockrolex) hates ORANGE, so he's in that camp. Wonder who else has a dislike of other colors on watches?!?

Looking at my IIc now. Think I'd have to agree with you! Maybe give us alternating green/black for odd/even.

I must admit, I wasn't a fan of the green hand/text before, but now that I have seen it in the flesh, I must say it is prefect!

Guess that goes back to my "Pictures don't do these things justice" thread.

Maybe someone will find an aftermarket green date wheel to put on their TT or SS GMT some day in a future service?!??
