Submarine in 6,4 inch wrist.
Hi all. Advice in terms of sizing - been wanting a Submarine for a very long time, finally got a chance to try on (and buy :) ).
My wrist size is 6.30 -6.40 inch. Perfect fit 36mm, but have been dreaming of a submarine. Took a couple of photos and with the homage(bought it to make sure of the size). Overall comfortable, but the watch has to sit tightly on my wrist or it rolls off. Thanks! |

I have found that moving links around (usually having more, sometimes considerably more at 12 than 6) and playing with the microadjustment or Glidelock usually results in an optimum fit for my wrist, although it might take a few attempts.
Once the clasp assembly is correctly positioned under your wrist and curves around it equally on both sides, the watch body can be moved backwards and forwards quite a bit. What might look odd before you do it up may fit nicely. I once reversed the clasp on a Breitling which turned an awkwardly wearing watch into a comfortable fit. However, when all is said and done, if a watch doesn't fit, isn't comfortable or doesn't sit right to an extent that irritates you, it's time to be honest with yourself. I've rejected a few watches on this basis and sold a few that I thought I could live with but couldn't. It's tricky to call because some watches can be gradually tweaked to perfection and others are never going to stop getting on your nerves. |

I have the same size wrist and had the Sub 41 for a bit but sold to a friend. I felt the large clasp was uncomfortable for all day wear. Didn't have that issue with the 40mm Sub. I would suggest the BB54 but since you want a ceramic bezel, how about Glashutte SeaQ 39.5. They are a bit more expensive but you can generally get a discount. The on the fly glidelock clasp is amazing.

The Sub will fit you fine. It was meant to be oversized as a tool watch. It is not a dress watch size.

It seems like a lot of people on this forum wear a Submariner and have the same wrist size as you. I wouldn’t get a 42mm Seamaster or Skydweller if I were you.

Submarine in 6,4 inch wrist.
Do not worry about the watch size. Who cares if it wears large or small on your wrist?
We are becoming slaves to the perceptions of fit, proportions, dimensions ,,, whereas it is all one big load of BS. I sometimes fully open the clasp and wear my watch completely loose - and I like it like that and could not care less about others’ thoughts Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

If you have to talk yourself into it, it isn’t going to work. Get a five digit Sub

I agree with most people here. It looks good on you. More importantly than what other people think, if you like the watch, go for it!

Search for Niziruoup FKM rubber on Amazon - awesome strap for about $20. Comes with QR pins, but I popped those out and squeezed factory bars in. Definitely recommend - it’s perfect for small to medium wrists - and looks great on a Sub.
