As the subject says, how accurate is your Rolex per day?

Since many members of TRF may have multiple timepieces with the same answer, note the multiple of same choices are there to help account for this. While not perfect, it's a start. Multiple choices are allowed of course.

Why is this funny? It’s a legit enough question. It would be interesting to have a parallel poll that correlates this question to age of watch, and also movement type. I own 12 currently, a mix 31, 32, 9001s. All of mine currently run between -3/+3. The ones that didn’t/don’t get fixed or punted.

Of course, that seems fair too. Doesn’t seem reasonable for someone to claim theirs is running-30, but it’s 20 years old and never serviced.

Edit: To poke the 32 issue a bit, new ones seem to run great, age slows them down (so it seems).

Some of mine do lose time over the course of a day but for me it’s no big deal and it’s always something that can be resolved with a service

All mine do +0.50 to +2.0 a day in about all resting positions. That tends to yield about a +1.0 a day on my wrist. I would consider that about as ideal as one could expect for an automatic movement. Timegrapher shows what my overnight resting position yields. Power reserve test also yield above spec in both 4130 and 32 series movements.

On a side note my Omega 8900 also yields the same +0.50 - +2.0 a day.
Panerai p9010 yields +1.5 to +3.5 a day.
Panerai OPIII yields -1.0 to + 3.0 a day
B&R ETA 2892-2 yields +1.0 to +4.0 a day.

Good call EasyE, and just checked my serviced Rootbeer and she's (still) at ~270 and in spec per positions fully wound. No problems with Batman or Destro.

I don’t measure accuracy on a daily basis, but I’m happy with all three of mine (two 32XXs, and one 3130).

If I had a material accuracy problem, I’d know it.

I'll happily play in this space.

Both of mine are 3135 movements.
The 2011 vintage is obviously COSC with 2 services under its belt as a daily wearer. Right up until it's last service in early 2023, it consistently ran about -1.5 seconds per day. Now it's not quite so good since the last service with some variation between about -1.5 and -2 per day so i blame the Rona.
The other is in a late 2015 Superlative Chronometer era watch that is very infrequently worn and has never been opened up.
It always runs about - 1.5 to - 1.75 on average as best I can tell with little variance from that.

At this point in time there is no Timegrapher data to support my claims.
It's all a product of my own observations checking against the clock on my phone day by day, week to week and months that require a date reset. So it's all very informal.

I hope this helps rather than muddy the waters, but it's all food for thought.

My 31 movement in my Sub is within 2 seconds, my 32 movements are 5-8 seconds but not too worried about it. My Tudor BB Pro is less than .5 seconds a day!

Mine are all no older than 7 years and unserviced and all run about +/- 2 sec/day.

To be specific, one is about 0 sec, one is negative 2, and the other is positive 2.3ish….

Hope they run this well after their eventual service…but if it isn’t broken, I’m not fixing.

All 31xx if that matters…

Have never really checked mine, but seem to be relatively accurate. I usually switch every day so hard to tell. I guess a few seconds here or there are not material to me.

Depends on how many phone apps, timegrapher machines and how addicted to testing them daily. Speaking for myself never been anal about checking to the exact second. Check mine once a week or so if more than a few minutes out might adjust thank god my life was never ran to the exact second.Only got one watch with the 32 movement last time I checked it was running around COSC spec that's accurate enough for me.

I think I have 10 or so Rolex watches right now and most keep time within two seconds a day. I usually check them when I make a purchase and then if I notice an issue.

I don't own a timegrapher, so I just check every week or so to the atomic clock and then average out any deviation to get a daily rate. On that basis my current 5 Rolex (all 31xx's) tend of vary between 0.0 and +3.0 secs per day on the wrist.

Pretty much every other Rolex I've ever owned (and I've had maybe another 6 or 7 over the years) were in the same ballpark, EXCEPT for the solitary 3235 I owned, which started off incredibly accurate (consistently 0.0) but went bad after 18 months and tailed off over time to around -25 to -30 secs a day.

Many have more than one timepiece, so if you have two that are within =/- 2 seconds/day, click yes on two of those. Let's say you only have one within +/-2, and one that runs +/-6... then choose appropriately.

If you're still confused, that's ok. In the end it should all average out.

Be forewarned for pool play, if you have a Patek anything deeper than 30m of pressure in the water will implode the case. Strictly no diving allowed.
