Watch Finder UK - Do they Service their Rolexes?

Hi Watchpeople, Watchfinder UK have a lot of Rolexes for sale on their site most are at least several years old, but do they actually service them before selling them? They say they have a servicing department but stop short of explicitly saying all the Rolexes they sell are given a full movement service (stripped down, cleaned and lubricated). Have you bought a watch from them and can you confirm that they serviced it before they sent it out? Thanks!

Nowadays, they hardly have any of their own stock. They've just become a marketplace for watches, as many watches are just advertised there from other dealers.
As for service, no, they don't service their stock.

Thanks, that's sadly what I suspected.

I know they back all watches with a 24 Month Warranty, I'm not sure if you could bring to a RSC and then submit the bill for reimbursement if there are issues with the watch, it's worth looking into. I would lean towards no because everyone would do it.

My issue is spending good money (£10k+) on 5+ year old unserviced watches that have dried up lubrication and will need sending straight to the RSC. A 24 month warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on. They give the impression they have a "service department" stuffed with watchmakers but they don't service the expensive watches they sell, and even offer watch servicing to the public.

About seven years ago, I bought from Watchfinder a Rolex that had been serviced a couple of months earlier at RSC.

It came with a service card, with the remainder of the 24 month warranty and service stickers.

But I don’t know if WF had it serviced or if it was the previous owner.

This. Absolutely spot on.

Modern oils really don’t dry out and if the watch runs fine it doesn’t need a service. That’s why they give two years warranty on second hand goods.
I have some Rolex watches running more than two decades without service and zero issues. That is quite common.

Their warranty is as good as any other including the one from the RSC. If it doesn’t work they will fix it. Why is that worthless ?
