What about being forced to return the watch if you use a watch-winder because you are worried about the screw threads on the crown wearing out????

That would have been a cunning plan.

In fact some might say it would have been as cunning as a fox what used to be Professor of Cunning at Oxford University but has moved on and is now working for the U.N. at the High Commission of International Cunning Planning.

The fact that some people can’t see the sarcasm in this is... not surprising because of how uptight people can be. It’s one thing to not find humor in it, it’s another to take it seriously.

I, for one, would not have to return mine.

I'm just happy to see that scratches are acceptable! I noticed how scratched up my expII is when I put it on this morning.

This!

I participate in the threads that others open but very rare for me to open one or ask a question. I would be afraid of being burned at the stake!!!!!

Answering in the tone of the OP, it is sad that some lose the sense of a Rolex: A mechanical sports watch that supports your entire life. But is your property, then if someone want to loose the oportunity of enjoy it is only your choice.

People can buy a Rolex to smash it with a hammer if they so please.

You’re not getting it. That has nothing to do with the responses you’re getting.

No, they should be used in whatever way the folks who bought them want to use them. That’s it.

Rolex themselves on their website have an entire section dedicated toward “Every Rolex tells a story”. The intent of my post is “build your story with your Rolex, don’t lock it up in a safe protected in bubble wrap”

For me, that is the best part about owning and wearing my watch. One day I am going to look down on it and all it’s scratches and smile at the memories that those come with.

I am not a flipper, I am not an investor I am just a Rolex enthusiast on a forum with other people who love Rolexes just as much. Cheers
