Two-Tone Sea Dweller 43
Anyone here own a TT SD43 and mind sharing a wrist pic?
As I already have a DSSD James Cameron and I am considering getting a TT SD43 as I’d like a TT Rolex and absolutely do not want a sub because it’s too small. Thoughts on the TT version of the SD43? Happy to hear thoughts on ownership experience and and photos! |

Here is my Sea Dweller collection. No wrist shot but the TT is one of my favorites. 7 1/2 wrist:

Ive got small wrists (16 cms) and the SD43 feels quite large.
Not uncomfortable, but Im aware its there. The Daytona, I feel is the perfect size for my wrist, and is my daily wear.

I have both the DSSD (116660) & the TT SD43. The Deep Sea became my daily back in 2010 when it became clear my 40 year old Red Sub had become a collector's item. Since you have a DSSD, your experience with the SD43 should be similar to mine with regard to it's (smaller) size in that it wears just fine in comparison. I will post a wrist pic when I figure out how to down rez my pics to the allowable file size.
Some thoughts on the TT SD43: It weighs the same as my Deep Sea (205 grams, both with 2 links removed). It is more like an upsized Sub than a downsized DSSD. The crown seems to be the same size as the Sub 41, not the much larger crown of the DSSD. As far as the Two Tone version, it definitely has that bling factor, especially out in the sun & that's what I got it for. I wear mine in most situations, where I don't feel it will get too beat up. |

Tried on a TT SD43 yesterday at Bucherer. I was shocked how the caseback sort of protrudes out, it made it wear slightly more uncomfortable than my DSSD. Give. This I think I need to pass on it.

Love how the SD43 rides high on the wrist. One big hunk of metal. Man’s game watch

I own the SS SD43 and tried the TT on last year at an AD. I like it a lot. However, I already own the TT blue Sub on top of the SS SD43, so I feel the TT SD43 would be redundant. If Rolex were to make a TT blue SD43, I'd sell the Sub and get the SD instead.

I really think this is one of those YMMV situations. I’ve read of folks complain about the discomfort of the SD43 on the wrist and probably an equal number of folks who don’t have this issue. My initial thoughts while trying it on at an AD was that this may be a nuisance but it didn’t stop me from owning it. With the bracelet properly sized I can say that there is no discomfort. I could wear it slightly loose or a little snug, no difference. The watch does sit high due to the caseback and for some that could be a showstopper. In comparison the Sub and even the DSSD sit lower on the wrist.

The TT version of the SD43 sounds like a fantastic choice for two-tone Rolex, it offers a nice blend of sportiness and luxury with its larger sizes and the combination of stainless steel and gold.

It looks good on you, even though I'm a fan of only SS Dwellers. Wear it with good health!

Love the two tone SD43. I've got the little brother, the two tone Sub, which is amazing. I think the bigger size of the SD looks great with gold.
