1970 datejust 1601 questions

Hello all. I’m new here:)

I got a 1970 dj 1601. I was told I cannot add links to vintage watches. True?

I need a couple of links. Also, where can I find links.

Thanks

Depending on type of bracelet if it has screw type links then yes you can add links.

It does not have the screw links. It’s the folded over steel
