5712/1A, 57261/A, or 5811G?
I'm curious as to which white metal Nautilus this group would choose if given the opportunity. Assuming that you can get these pieces at retail from your AD, which would you choose and why? 5712/1A, 5726/1A, or 5811G..

It will be a tough choice between the 5726 and the 5811. Ultimately I prefer the blue dial of the 5811. No bad choices here really.

5712. Same dimensions as steel 5711 but with more complications. The 5726 is too chunky for me. And the idea of making daily watches out of gold like the 5811 and new 5168g and 5146g is a real turnoff for me. Patek making them in white gold makes me feel like it’s a cash grab.

Wow! I'm really surprised at the pole so far, and that 5712A is leading 2x over 5811G.... Genuinely curious why? I have both and personally prefer the 5811G, but to each is own.

LOL. I left 5740 out due to the price difference and rarity.

I wish.. I have no dreams about my AD allocating me a 5740 as my first Nautilus. I'd be more than happy with the 12 or 26 as my first. You feel the 5811 is harder to get than the 5740?

5712 every time this question gets asked every other month. The higher complication yet still maintaining the slim profile of the 5811 make this an easy choice. The 5726 is way too thick imo.

The closer to the original, the better, so 5811 for me. On a sport watch I can tolerate a sport complication which limits it to a chronograph but the annual calendar and moon phase seem better suited to Patek's many gentleman's timepieces.

Tough choice. For it’d be narrowed down to two. 5712 or 5726….flip a coin at that point. Sorry, not much help.

No bad choices…I went with 5712 bec it’s thin and complicated but I would really go for a t740. Ticks off everything in the Nautilus category. For the record I own a 5726 and a 5723 and tried swapping for a 5740 even up.

12A then 11G and a DISTANT 3rd the 26A. Too thick IMO and I don’t like the AC Complication

5712 mainly because of the 240 base calibre.
Plus I own one, so voted with my wallet also. |

I voted for 5811 because it is a precious metal so it feels better than steel. Second choice would be 5726 because dial has symmetrical layout which is more aesthetically pleasing for my taste, as well as useful day-date function

Can't go wrong with any of your choices
Owning all 3 - for me the 5811 gets the most wrist time. I may be in the minority, but I do like the layout of the AC on the 5726. The 5712 gets the least wrist time, probably because my example has the "previous" clasp without the 2mm micro adjustment. If you are able to get a 5712 new from AD - it would have a great chance of having the updated clasp. |

5811 imo will become the most collectible of the 3 and I find the dial stunning.

My 5811G came with my name pre-printed if that answers any questions...just adding my data point.
