Rolex Carb Cleaning....
This afternoon, my dad and I cleaned out the carbs on his '66 Triumph Bonneville chopper. It was pretty nasty, the carbs were disgusting inside, the result of my father not draining them like he was supposed to before he stored it for the winter. Anyways, after a thourough cleaning, the bike was up and running again. Didnt get any pictures of that job as my camera was MIA at the time...
However, when I went to cut the grass for the first time today, the lawnmower started first pull, then died after doing one strip of grass. A quick diagnosis later, and it turned out to be a fuel delivery problem, so off came the carb for a quick cleaning, and right there with me as always was my Rolex, and I had found my camera by this time.... Glad to say the lawnmower is now functioning perfectly, but because I got it working, that means I had to push-mow 1/2 acre of 6" tall grass

Well, the Triumph has Amal carbs on it. Never had one apart before. Besides small engine carbs, they were probably the simplest and easiest carbs I've ever had apart.
As for automotive carbs, never done anything to one, ever, wouldnt even know where to start...
