SC 240 movement is robust vs. 324?

I've owned a few PPs with 324 movement and just curious if 240 movement is as robust as 324? any inputs would be great.

each would benefit from greater power reserve.

both have been around a long while and are well proven.

Heard quite a few sticking date stories with the 324, never heard any problem with the 240...

i believe that was early in production, i haven't seen recent issues and did not have any issues with my 5167 or 5711.

Hard to compare micro rotor vs full, but cal 240 has been around for over 4 decades and is as reliable as they come.

If you receive a subscription to the Patek Philippe magazine, there is a nice article about the Caliber 240 written by Nicholas Foulkes in the latest edition (Vol IV Number 3).

The 240 movement has been in production much longer than the 324 which replaced the 315 movement around 2007-8.
I would say that it is easily as robust as the 324.

The 5712 with 240 is the most accurate watch I have ever owned and works very well as a daily

The 240 movement is probably the best movement that Patek has ever made. Incredibly reliable and accurate.

Nor do I on my 2, but you are right it has been some time we haven't seen these threads here, hopefully they resolved the problem

There are 43 different references that have the 240 base movement. Starting in 1977. One of the most significant pieces being the Celestial Grand Complication ref 6102.
