I tell myself, "I can get 80% of money back by selling". So I am actually spending $2k not $10. No big deal.

Great post! Some how I think that Rolex watches are not the only thing we say this about. Or are they?

The 1st step to being cured is admitting you have a problem....I will NEVER admit to it, ergo no need to be cured. Simple.

"My Last Watch" and "My Last Sportscar" are synonymous with "I'm lying if my lips are moving".

I said it a few years back and now I am at it again. I joined TRF recently and it hasn't helped. Is it curable or do I need to manage this for the rest of my life? But I'm really certain this next purchase WILL be my last.
I think most of us say that just before we buy the piece that we've been contemplating for the last week/month/year.....promising ourselves (and better-halves in some cases, myself included)....that the watch in hand will be the last.....and it is....until the next!!

I have tried gmts, explorers, datejusts, subs, dates , milG, both modern and vintages, ss and 2-tones....and flipped all of them...none of them can cure the itch...

I am happy with both daytonas now and a vintage gmt(just for the matte patina). The Ds are really stabilizing the addiction...for now..i hope it lasts....i think im at the point where none of the other rolex models attracts me anymore..

If there's remotely one more, it'll be the Aquanaut, for sure.

I'm infected too. Thankfully, for now, it is ONLY for Rolex watches that I have this illness. Hopefully it won't spread!

Extract from my medical journal:

Patient seems to have calmed down after his last fix of Rolex. It seems like he is responding well to the one watch below $ 10K a year treatment plan.

Patient showed some minor weakness controlling him self and staying with the plan after 4 months. The GMTc fix seems to slowly degrade him towards greater sickness.
Managed to calm down the mad effects of the Horology Fever by sending the patient to the AD.

He showed great improvement during the visit until coming in contact with the worst sort of virus ever... the SKY DWELLER.

Fever now evolved to a higher stage than ever.

Only cure... get Sky Dweller...

The worst thing with the sickness, when $ 10K (or even) watches seems too "cheap" and not being the least interesting anymore.
