Great day at the beach

We finally had some sunshine here recently so we took a trip to the beach with the kids.

Love the go anywhere nature of the Diver. Been really impressed at the resilience of it as a daily for 6 years now.

That’s a great looking watch. I’m curious about those supposed screws or bolts on the face of the bezel. A hexagon shaped bolt inside a hexagon shaped hole is not going to spin too much. Strange that it has a slot for a screwdriver.

I assume those are just decorative?

They go through the bezel and case, interfacing with screws inserted through the case back to secure the watch.

The watch was designed by Gerald Genta in the early 70's. A diving helmet was his inspiration for the watch. Here is a good read on it.
