Does this DD 40 look too big for my wrist?
It feels fine; as I've previously had two other 40mm Rolex watches before. But I'm curious to hear what you guys think. LOL, for everyone saying 36mm Day Date, if only Rolex treated the latest 36mm line up seriously and gave it some good dials. But alas, I truly feel Rolex is primarily focusing all in on the 40mm... |

Looks good to me. All that matters is that it’s comfortable on your wrist and that you’re enjoying it.

36mm platinum would fit better on your wrist proportion wise but the 40mm is a great watch! can't go wrong either way

Firstly, no one’s opinion really matters other than your own personal preference.
With that said, I do feel that a 36mm is your size and would look absolutely fantastic at that size based on your slim wrist. |

Daydate is not supposed to wear big, it is not Panerai or ROO, so yes it looks too big on your wrist... regarding your comment about treating 36 line seriously , you missed the latest releases or what? Basically you have now diamond, stick, deconstructed romans with great variety of colors in the 36mm line...

I think it looks too big. I have small wrists too and I shy away from pieces where the lugs overlap my wrist.

From your picture, I think the DD40 looks too big on you, but I think everyone should have both a DD40 and a DD36 to cover all occasions. Because you already have a DD40, why not get the platinum one in 36? Finally, while the platinum Daytona is frequently referred to as the Platona, why can't I get anyone to call the platinum DayDate the PlayDate?

Way too big on you. The lugs are extending beyond your wrist.

Far too big. Looks wider than your wrist. I’d look to get something which fits you.

Looks fine...
Plus sometimes these wrist shots make any watch look big. Could it be a skosh smaller? Sure, but who cares. You look young, those wrists will fatten up with time. |

Does this DD 40 look too big for my wrist?
Yes it does, but what WE think is irrelevant. If you like it, that’s all that matters. I wear watches that are sized for men. I like them better than ladies’ watches. Today I’m wearing a 40 mm Sub style watch. I love it.

Yes it’s too big.
That said, if you can afford a platinum DD40 get it and rock that bad boy everywhere! Lug overhang be damned! Not being facetious either; that is a bad mamma jamma and if you can afford it then congrats and buy it so you can enjoy the fruits of your labor! As a former forum member would have said “why concern yourself with the opinion of the poors? The wolf does not concern itself with the opinions of the sheep” Miss ya Chewie!

I see all the forum comments have you second guessing your new purchase. If you're happy with the way it looks that's all that matters!

It's your watch. If you feel it is too big or small, then that is the only thing you need to worry about.

You wear it well but it looks too large to me. That does not matter as long as you like it. If you are asking, you know. I don't mind large or small watches but prefer watches that are proportional to my size.
