Question on FP Journe Octa Automatique Réserve 40mm

Hi folks,

Offered USD47,500 for this piece from AD, I’m torn if I should pull the trigger. I think 38mm suits my wrist better.

Welcome your views and comments. Thank you.

I think it looks great! 38mm may suit you better but I think it may be very difficult to find one and the price will be much more. Either way is a fine choice!

So it was reserved for you! LOL
Love it! Been eyeing this since a while now and my wife and I paid a visit only to be told someone has reserved it. The RG is beautiful but the PT is better. I’m like you, in that the size is iffy for me too. That said, looks great and if you feel comfortable with the weight, then go for it.

Small world indeed! LOL, sure we can meet to celebrate an incoming

Finding another one of those is going to be very difficult. Finding a 38mm well nigh impossible. Think carefully!

Question on FP Journe Octa Automatique Réserve 40mm

I was in your situation and was fortunate to find a 38mm... 40mm just a hair to big for me though I could have pulled it off . But hard to spent $50k and not be totally happy with the fit . Glad I waited. 38mm fits me perfect. Would say, be patient as 38mm sometimes do show up - or reach out to a TS that can source one for you. Here’s my 38mm octa , 6.75 inch wrist

Lugs seem to be creeping over your wrist edges so for a dress piece this would be a pass for me.

European Watch Company just had a 38mm rose gold CS for just under $45k. It says on hold on their website but you might reach out and see what the status is if you are open to RG.

I bought a 38mm Octa Lune earlier this year and just love the size. My wrist is smaller so it was a no brained for me but like the proportions of the 38mm versions generally.

Too large on your wrist for my taste and too much money to compromise on size. I'd hunt for 38mm in your place.

The watch looks fantastic. Is that the official price from an AD/boutique? That seems to be the price for the model with the moon phase. Without the moon phase I’d expect it to be a bit less.

Yes it’s from the AD. Lune will be higher by a few Ks.

Don’t compromise. It looks a tad big on your wrist. Hunt that 38mm.
