Is There a Break In Period?
Curious if one should expect a break-in period for new Rolex? I understand Rolex does pretty comprehensive testing before shipping, but will a brand new watch get more accurate after several months of daily running?
Thanks |

This has been covered a few times. I don’t have an answer for you, but this might help.

I find that while some of my Rolex watches may run slightly fast or slow and I can rely on the precision of each one.
Some may have found otherwise but none of my Rolex watches have had to ‘bed in’ whether new or back from a service.

Depends what you mean by more accurate for any purely mechanical to run within a few seconds a day out of 86400 is a mechanical marvel. Many things effect mechanical watches on the wrist.Like mainspring power-reserve,different temperatures, shocks, gravity, small changes in lubrication and so on.And just because they test on a machine to a certain spec in a controlled environment at time of tested could pass the spec. But on the wrist thats a different matter with very many variables to overcome.

Don't know above the movement but I have had a couple of steel bracelets that squeeked for a couple of weeks when new.
