Cream EXII

Hello,

Here are some pics of my cream EXII (rail dial). I love the EXII, especially the cream dial, WG marker and hand borders. I don’t know why the some call the EXII an unpopular Rolex, but I’m glad it has a strong following at TRF. Both black and white look great, my preference would be for white (esp cream).

It is by far the most comfortable and best looking watch I have ever owned.

Good luck!!!

I have to say that cream looks even nicer than the white... maybe even the black version. Stunning my friend but can I see some more please?

Its seen a lot of use and the case has quite a few dents and scratches - which
may appall some, but actually liberates me to wear it 'wherever'. Its a tough watch.
It's actually out for servicing and a modest polish with Dalton and company right now.
I should get it back this coming Friday!

Sometimes, I get tempted by thoughts of a white face! But, so far I've stayed strong.
Here's a wrist shot and one more.

WOW! That is stunning!

Between shots of the orange hand and cream dialed explorers I have been drooling all day... lets keep those pics coming of our fave Rolex!
I'll get some new ones by the weekend though I'm afraid they won't come close to Fr Johns cyclops free shots!

Does anyone know if there is any weight to the rumor that they are bringing back the orange hand, such as maybe for Basel next year?

One thing i love about the Explorer II, and the GMT can join in this, is if you check the time when the minute hand covers the 24h hand it looks like a completely different watch - I don't think classic orange handers can do this though :)

Shoot, looking at these pictures has really made me miss my Polar ExpII...I traded it away. I will indeed pick up another one soon but not sure if I should wait for the new release next year... :)

Colin,
It is more than just a rumour as there was a promotional video supposedly made by Rolex showing a new larger version of the explorer II with an orange hand. Supposedly Rolex didn't want it overshadowing the new explorer I and it was pulled at the last minute... but I guess we won't know for sure until next year.

Ren, Thanks for the info, I really want an EXP II but if they are going to put a orange hand on it then I may just wait. When you say larger do you mean the case would be larger? Do you happen to know where I could find that video? Thanks

Colin,

My pleasure! There was some debate whether Rolex was going to "supercase" the expy II like they did the GMT IIc or not but I don't think anyone knows 100% yet... here is the link to the TRF thread with the video:

At just 125 grams, it's one of the lightest sports models out there and extremely comfortable to wear on the wrist. Try and get the V-series to ensure you have the new 3186 movement. That's what I did!!

Some pics for you........

JJ are you 100% sure that every EX2 V serie has a 3186 movement?
I hope so, please respond en thanxs,
Greets Gerardus

This is a fantastic thread. I pulled the trigger on a birth year 16570 from HQ Milton a year ago and I am extremely happy with this reference. I wear it on a NATO
