Incoming.......my new Planet Ocean Liquidmetal

Posted a couple of weeks ago about feeling the need for titanium. Finally found the right piece, a beautiful 45.5mm Planet Ocean 8500. I absolutely love it. Great colour, fantastic wrist presence and just the right weight. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1411744605.353800.jpg

I was wondering which one you would decide on. Great choice! I'm wearing mine today as well.

Just need to add a blue strap to mix it up. The omega rubber and deployant are outrageously expensive. Anyone recommend an alternative? Looking at Hirsch. Not keen on the isofrane.

I looked for alternatives but the OEM strap fit so nicely that I decided to get the OMEGA ones for both my chrono and 3 hand. In terms of pricing the rubber strap seems to be about the same price everywhere. I found the titanium deployant was cheapest from OFREI.

I love the Planet Oceans. One of my wedding gifts two years ago was an Omega Aqua Terra. While I love it, if they would have asked my opinion, I would have gotten a Planet Ocean. Congrats on your watch. Enjoy it!

Thanks for all the congrats posts. Still gazing at it.

Thinking I am going to get the OEM strap. Any aftermarket deployant recommendations?

Bought the OEM blue rubber strap last night. Whilst 186 quid is expensive - it is great quality and hopefully will last a long time. Watch Obsession have just started selling aftermarket deployant in brushed so I have one of those arriving this week for a fraction of the OEM clasp. Will post pictures and a review when it arrives.

I have the 45.5mm as well. Love the watch but can't get comfortable with the size. Just too big for my wrist. A good deal for someone. Will get around to posting it for sale one of these days. If anyone interested in a 2014 PO LM very reasonable, ping me.

Congrats on the PO LM. It's a stunning watch! As for the rubber strap, my opinion is don't compromise. I've tried non OEM straps on other watches and usually have come up short on expectations and enjoyment. Especially with this watch, the blue color and the fit of the OEM is outstanding. Keep in mind, while the cost of the rubber strap and buckle is relatively high, it is a fraction of the overall watch. I wear mine 90% of the time on the rubber strap as it is so cool and comfortable. Hope this helps.

Thanks Gilv. I went to an AD to check out the rubber strap and walked out with one. The titanium deployant clasp was very expensive so ended up going with aftermarket at a tenth of the price. Photos show the clasp and it is a very good alternative
