Had to pay Golden Century a visit yesterday after reading the poor reviews above. Been our go to place when we needed a Chinese fix. Appears on my Amex at least once a month, but usually twice. Been regular customers for 16 years. Probably has gone off just a tad. We always order pretty much the same thing, so didn't look at the menu. Uber fast delivery of food though, which we always appreciate.

The Eight it outstanding. Dim sum/yum cha is the best in town.

Their banquet is one of the best I've had and their crabs, lobster etc are the freshest in town.

Golden Century is probably a good destination post beers, Eight pre the pallet being destroyed

Can we all lock in the 17th???????? I suspect we will all have yes and no days, I thin the 3rd is to soon, ultimately I can do all 3 dates.

17th is perfect, as we have a function on the 10th. I'm in, I will confirm whether or not Kim will attend.

Anders, I'll never so no to an Ale.

Hey Craig, thanks for the kind words earlier ref my 16713, it's off at the spa after a crown and stem issue. It probably hasn't been serviced for close to 20 years.

Speak soon, Jules

Hi Gents,

I've just read your post, would have liked to come, but regrettably will be Sabre Ground School all of that weekend.

I look forward to meeting some or all of you in the future around Sydney.
