If anybody is looking a white dial Daytona on a leather strap my local AD had one last week. They should still have it. The strap was either leather or crocodile and I guess the case was white gold. If anyone needs any other watches tell me and I will check. Just letting you know.

Thanks Tyler a few ADs have the w/g y/g Dayton's,even in darkest Wales
last time I looked in Cardiff dealer Crouches they had a TT and a white gold
and a few of the beach Dayton's.

My dealer produced a Daytona in 4 hours from me telling her I want one till I got the call back saying it's on the way.

Geez Adrian, you'd think they'd be a bit easier to find in Saudi. I could walk into two different shops in Toronto today and walk out with my choice of dial. Then again, I'd be paying grey market prices too. LOL

They are very hard to get in Saudi, almost impossible unless you are a VVIP. I'm on a waiting list back in England. There are plenty in the grey dealers at premium prices.

I think they are about £3600 but I could be wrong. Whatever the price I'm not going to pay over the odds. I'd sooner go without.

Good for you, Adrian. I used to love the Daytona.. but I realized I was more into the 'myth' than the watch. I find chrono dials too busy for me and that's a helluva premium for a complication that I'l almost never use.

I guess I'm getting simpler in my watch taste as I get older.

Well, to end this one, the TAG has an automatic movement with a 42h reserve, capable of timing 100th of second (!), a polished titanium case and will be around 10,000 pounds (UK) upon release. Another 'Storm' watch

While, as you know, I like complications, it's not because I use all of them. I just think they're fun and I admire the crafstmanship that goes into making a watch with them. As for the Daytona, I find mechanical chronos of little value and hard to read. The only Daytona I would even consider getting is the meteorite, and that's more as a piece of jewelry.

The only chrono I use is my Omega X-33, which has a quartz digital readout. I use it when I walk for exercise to time how long I walk. I've also started using it to time airplane flights, from wheels up to touchdown. Don't ask why, it's just a kick. OK, so I'm a little nuts, too.
