If the guy just joined the forum and this was his first post, then maybe...but this guy has been on this forum for 9 years.
Seems like just yesterday that if a first-time poster asked a question like this, he would be labeled a troll and everyone would mention how all these new accounts are always troll posts...

Couple that with the price increases over the years and it makes it fairly difficult for a young collector starting out. You’d need a lot more money to get started.

It will be interesting to see how things develop in the future.
Agreed. As I understand it Aquanauts were introduced as an entry level piece and to attract younger first time buyers to the brand, so it's now ironic they are impossible for first time buyers. Maybe the "Cubitus" will now take the entry level steel slot ... who knows!

The reality is that many young collectors have lots of liquid assets.

Just sell me all the good stuff Mr. AD in one fell swoop so I don't need to keep coming in.

Unfortunately, it does not work that way. A bundle is when you buy stuff you really do not want at full retail just to get on a list for a watch you may never get.

I would think you would need to buy several PP strap complicated watches and maybe other stuff to even be considered as a possibility to be put on the list for a 5740.

Some do, but not from my profession.

If I was starting today it would be much harder I think.

That was funny.
