That is very beautiful, Kaka, my wife has the same dial in the 29 mm lady's version. I've had this one since 7 months now...

And we're taking bets that it's not going to last another 7 months.

I'll probably get one of the new SS Datejusts.

I'd thought about the new "Prince" models, but I'd rather spend the money on a Patek.

Unless Rolex introduces something new that interests me, I've got what I want from them.

My wife has the same watch in the medium size. It's beautiful on her, but I'm not so sure for me.

I like the Daytona with that configuration better.

That is a nice one, Dave. Not quite the WG meteorite, but almost.

Ed,

I came close to getting the TT Slate Daytona before I bought my SS White Daytona last year. I tried one on about two years ago in Bonaire, and it stuck in my mind. It would have been a tough decision if both were side by side, even though the resale value of the SS Daytona is so much higher.

I recently tried on a TT Daytona with a greyish MOP dial. I liked it a lot, but it was ridiculously over-priced (even for a Rolex). I know where I can get a BNIB YG Daytona with a Paul Newman dial for just $2,000 more, and now you're getting up into the range of a two year old WG Meteorite dial Daytona. One of these days I may just sell the SS Daytona and my TT Blue Sub and put the money on the Meteorite dial Daytona. That's what I really want.

I personally don't like the Paul Newman dial. But I do love the WG meteorite on a black strap. Even Arleen liked the way it looked when I tried one on. Ah, someday . . . .

Dave, Rob (pandrew) had a WG meteorite with brown and black straps that he was offering for $14.5K about 6 months ago. If you're up for it, he may still have it available.

Does any one have a Pic of a SS Daytona? I've seen the white gold, but not the SS.
If I were leaning towards a Daytona, the TT is not much more than the SS, and resale really isn't an issue for me. Which way should I lean?
Subfiends pix sure make that TT attractive.

Good point, John. I'd say go in for the TT since you're going to keep it. You get all that extra bling, the better looks and all that SOLID 18 K gold in the centre links and beautiful bezel. Makes more sense to me!!
