Introduction and hopeful to an incoming soon

Figured it was time for a proper intro and to mostly thank all those that post as I’ve learned a lot by lurking. I’ve always loved watches and have only gotten serious about nicer pieces within the last five years. For my 50th b-day I bought myself a secondhand First Omega in Space Speedmaster. Absolutely love it and it certainly raised the stature of my meager collection. From there I bought my first higher end piece from an AD when I picked up a black BB58. For the most part that’s become my daily driver.

I’ve always wanted a Rolex Pepsi GMT, but of course I got serious about getting one at the absolute worst time. In the meantime I’ve really come to love the fluted blue dial Datejust 36 on jubilee. I finally think I found an AD willing to work with me as I just put in an interest to buy “order” with them. I’m hoping to get the watch by the new year. Who knows, maybe that can be a springboard to my Pepsi.

Anyway, sorry for the long post and thanks again for all the discussions and education!
