certificate dated 3-4 years after watch stopped production?

hi guys,

I am interested in a used breguet from grey market, is it ok/normal to have the original certificate dated 3-4 years *after* the watch stopped production? I thought that was pretty strange, but dealer told me it's normal to have old stock sold 3-4 years later and dated as such on the certificate.

Just want to check if this raises any red flags before purchase. Serial/model number etc..all match the watch, and it's an original breguet certificate.

Thanks!

If a watch went out of production,,,, the factory may still have some pieces, then it can sit by the dealer for a while. I have seen the old series breguet marine in the boutique recently.
