I love aviation as much as the next guy, but I'd be really sad when pink hydraulic fluid seeps onto my lawn.

It’s an old airliner, not an F14. The leaking lavs will be good for your lawn.

Airplanes are made of heat conductors and aren’t airtight. The heating and air conditioning costs would be the deal breaker for me.

I think these type of odd dwellings are popular for Air B&B type rentals and not all that great idea for your basic middle class abode.

I agree. They are cool for a weekend away. My wife and I stayed in a hobbit cave house on vacation once. It was…. interesting. Not something we’d live in, but it was booked solid all summer.
