Datejust II 2tone or day-date yellow gold mid 90's

Hello guy I'm having a debate with my little on with watch would you guys prefer and I would like a little help or input on y'all opinions a new datejust II 2 tone or a mid 90's president yellow gold ?

Me personally I prefer a datejust II with that being said I previously owned a yellow gold president and felt it was just to small for my wrist and so outdated

Both are very nice. I'd say go with a Day Date if you can pull off the 36mm size. While I love that watch, I'd have to take the Datejust II since 41mm fits me much better.
