16570 case back sticker
My 16570 turns 20 next month (polar, swiss-only), and somehow it still has the case back sticker in tact after all these years (very clear visibility of both the crown and the 16570 numerals) -- probably b/c it's been protected by a Nato for the bulk of the time.
I've considered removing it -- any reason not to from a collectibility perspective? Sort of a moot question b/c I can't foresee ever selling this, but thought I'd ask. I realize keeping the sticker on certainly isn't the most sanitary option, so this is just a question from a collectibility perspective... Thanks! |

Maybe just remove it and stick it to something plastic? That's what I did with my old Tudor's sticker, just placed it on the warranty card! When I sold the Tudor, I just stuck it back on the case-back.

If it hasn't come off, just leave it where it is

Have to agree and will have no value whatsoever only being a dirty bit of stickyback plastic..

Yeh that's nasty leaving the shrink wrap still on. Always find it weird seeing some reflective green dirty thing on the back of old watches. It confused me a lot of the start of watch madness journey

I stuck my case back sticker in my diary on the date I bought my Rolex. I'm sure if I ever look back over my diaries it may be a nice physical reminder of the day I purchased it.

Leaving the sticker on is nasty. It just harbors dirt, dead skin, and bacteria.

I just removed the green sticker off my 1994 18238. I like it more now.

There is nothing collectible or valuable about the sticker on the back.

There is Absolutely value in that it effectively protects the caseback from the bracelet.
People saying it is gross are ignoring all of the filth and crud that many people have lodged in the crevices of their watch. Saying the stickers are gross and should be taken off sounds to me like an abundance of personal bias without a basis.

First thing I'd do if I were to purchase that watch is remove it. Nasty.
