I'm sorry to raise this topic from the dead but I feel like my question didn't deserve its own thread.
For the lucky folk out there that own both of these models, would you consider the Sub more robust than the GMT? Or would you say that the difference is negligible? When I use the term "robust", I'm talking about how the movement holds up to daily use. Example: Would they both stand up to desk diving knocks the same? |

I was just curious if the GMT was more prone to failure when banged around due to having a more complex movement. I'm not the most graceful human being. |

The GMT function is not going to be any more susceptible to damage from shock during everyday use than the regular Sub. Get the BLNR!!

Aesthetic-wise--Sub by a slim margin. GMT bezel gets a little busy.
That being said, GMT function is cool and the watch is still very good-looking, |

Hello everyone!!
I'm new around here... watches are my passion! Especially Rolex watches. these watches have similar dials and hand size. The bezel will be the most notorious difference between these two timepieces. Rolex Submariner only rotates counter-clockwise while the Rolex GMT rotates both directions. Although, I will go with the Rolex Submariner 116610 is better because of the clasp gridlock, has a higher depth rating than the GM, and is well known! |
