Congratulations my favourite Rolex the SD range but prefer the 16600 mine had quite a hard life with well over 600 hours underwater.Great watches and very reliable and accurate like all Rolex watches.

The 116600 is STILL the only Rolex I could've bought but didn't, that I regret.
It was around 2014 and I randomly phoned my local AD to ask if they had an SD in stock. As luck would have it they did (as was often the case with most models back then), so I went and tried it on, but ultimately decided not to buy it as I thought it was a little bit "too small". Mainly wearing Breitlings back then had a LOT to answer for as I'd jump on the chance nowadays. Anyway, many congrats OP.

These are such cool watches, congratulations!
I’m a big fan of the cyclops, but it’s great to have just the date window on this one. Wear it in good health. |

You are right, it does wear a fraction small but certainly not too small. It feels like a classic sports Rolex with everything you would want from a modern 6-digit reference. The no cyclops date is brilliantly subtle; I know I am biased now but it feels like the connoisseur’s choice in a world of Subs / oversized watches. My vote – research, find a good example and take the leap!
