Day date 2

Lads on trf.

Who would you pick ?
WG dd2 with the Brown roman face or the RG dd2 with same dial?

I got a feeling that WG isnt a solid investment. Does RG or YG brings more Bang for the bucks?

None are solid investments but all are nice watches. As for which is most popular of the ones you mentioned: RG chocolate dial for sure!

Myself i like WG. Looks descreet. But you are the second person who tells me that RG is way more popular than WG

Yes, RG choco is just stunning

You won't make a return on your investment, unless prices rise on all Rolexes for the next few years which seems unlikely nowadays, but if you buy it preowned or at a great discount with a trf seller then you will lose very little if anything on resale.

investment ,,, nope ,, none of them.
i like gold to be gold in color , untill recently i would have voted for rose ,, but recent trends in fashion watches may keep me from that choice ,,, white is just a half way stop off to platinum ,,, so , i think it would be yellow .
im not a roman dial fan either , prefer something cleaner looking , but thats only a detail and can be swapped.
all in all ,,, your money , your choice , but none of them are an investment with a good return in monetary terms ,,,, heirloom , nostalgia and sentimental terms ,, well thats different , but you cant put a cash value on that. some of my most valued possessions are worthless in cash value but priceless to me.

Watches aren't good investments unless you get a highly collectible timepiece at an incredibly good price and even there the profits you could make while selling it wouldn't be nearly as good as investing money the regular way. Watches should, in my opinion, be bought to be worn.

Of course, if you want to sell it Rolex takes less of a hit on resale than other brands but it's still not a good investment in my opinion.

As for your choice, if you're a white gold person I'd say go for it as it looks great but I personally prefer colored precious metals so I'd go YG first or, in your case, RG.

Hey Tom, how come you use commas as an ellipsis, rather unusual?

And myself I like platinum which is why I chose it!

Buy them at right price and limit how much you can get hurt if you ever sold. Buy them at retail and get pummeled.

No investments here. Buy what looks best on you. Frankly, I think the DD2 looks good in every metal.

If you are a white gold fan, get the Day Date that you truly desire. None are good as an investment as stated above. RG and WG will be more difficult to flip if you try in the future. Good luck.

They're all nice. It just comes down to personal preference.

I prefer yellow gold but have considered WG and RG in the past. All three are great and I can not say enough good things about my Day Date II.

hi neil , yes ,, i type as i think , sometimes its more a type as i speak , so if i take a breath or think or the likes i add a comma , or two ,,, or three ,,, i like commas as i know where they are on the keyboard.
if i stop to think about punctuation and capitals and the likes i loose my flow ,
with luck folk that read what i write will actually read it as its spoken , , not so much as its written.
sort of aurally assisted reading , like phonetic spelling ,, only different.

We need voice messages to be incorporated here on TRF
That would eliminate all doubt,, on the tone it was initially meant to be,,,spoken

So. I have notice that there is a few diffrent dials for the RG dd2. Whats the one to have as a compliment to the DJ2 with rhodium dial. Would it be the dd2 with RG roman Numbers dial or the Roman Number Brown?
