Tudor BB Pro or BB GMT 58 Coke
Hi all,
Currently I have BB Pro on rubber strap but this year Tudor BB GMT 58 Coke still my heart. I’m thinking about getting my name on waitlist for Tudor BB GMT 58 Coke on bracelet. The only concern I have is if I will get Tudor GMT Coke are they will be overlapping with my BB Pro?

Tudor BB Pro or BB GMT 58 Coke
I think they work well together in a collection.
Aesthetically and functionally different. One is a true GMT with a rotating bezel while the other is more of a 24 hour dual time. Considering the price point at retail, I would just add. |

Tudor BB Pro or BB GMT 58 Coke
I think both would work together. BB Pro is far more of a modern tool watch whereas the Coke has a vintage vibe.

If they decide the put the new movement to Pro and slim it, I will repurchase the one I sold. I think adding is a better option if you like your Pro as they lose a lot in the market.

Both great additions to the Tudor GMT lineup.

I mean…..
Both are black dial 39mm GMT’s with snowflake hands. I think there is a bit of overlap. However, if you love the gilt and want one on a 5 link bracelet, go for it! |

I'd get the Coke GMT and see how you feel after a while.

Both excellent watches but I would have one or the other, not both. Same brand, same function. To me that's too much overlap.

I see where you are coming from Mike, but given they look quite different (particularly as the Pro is not on a 3 link bracelet) is that not like saying if you have two 3 handers in a collection that's too much overlap?

Two GMTs from the same brand, to me anyway, is too much overlap. I have three divers currently, but they are from three different brands. There are so many excellent GMT watches out there, I would suggest looking at Omega or GS or many others before picking up a second Tudor GMT. But that's just one guy's opinion.

Yeah and I'm not saying hell no, no way in hell do those two belong in the same collection. Just saying what I would do in that situation. Other than my two Rolexes, I don't currently have more than one watch of any brand. Different collectors employ different strategies. For me, I don't like overlap if I can avoid it.

Whereas GS has GMT GADA watches and chronographs, Omega has GMT versions of lots of different kinds of watches, etc. I see nothing wrong with more GMTs but these two are quite similar. |

I think they could both exist in a collection together.

That’s not any more of an overlap than my Sub & GMT BLNR combo (IMHO).

Tudor BB Pro or BB GMT 58 Coke
Quote:
One is a GMT. The other is a dual time watch. While it can be used to time a second time zone (similar to an explorer 2), the true function is to coincide with the regular hour hand to determine Am or PM. I.e. you’re in a cave or in a location where the sun doesn’t set for 6 months |

I don’t see that being a material qualification in this case. Aesthetically, the BB Pro and BB58 are as different from each other as my Sub and GMT, maybe even more so since his BB Pro is on a strap. Functionally, having two GMTs isn’t a bad thing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
