Guarantee...

Hi all,

Just became memeber official in here :-) I have a question, did I understand it right that there is 2 years gurantee for Rolex Watches (Of curse new from AD) regardless of where you've bought it???

Yes a 2 year international warranty if bought though a official Rolex AD.

The AD gives you a 2 year warranty.

There have been disputes when it was sold within that period to some other person and the AD has refused the warranty.

I had a similar case when the watch was purchased in Singapore when I was on assignment there. On returning to Japan, the AD made a fuss about it till I showed him my passport with the Singapore stamps for the period when the watch was purchased.

He then had to accept that I was the original owner.

Not really sure if the same "Original Owner" rule applies in other countries too.

To Imtiaz: It's interesting what you brought up here. I wonder if Original Owner rule applies in ohter countries too? IT is good to clearified this one!!!

In the USA, the warranty clearly states that the warranty is only valid for the original purchaser..
