Picked up my first Tudor - Heritage Chrono blue
Have long been an admirer of Tudor, particularly their chronos, but had shied away because of size (thickness) concerns. Well somehow I recently found myself going down a rabbit hole of watching videos of and reading about the now discontinued 70330B. The more I watched and the more I read about the size/specs, the more I thought it might actually work for me. As fate would then have it, I stumbled upon a 2022 in pristine condition at a great price.
I'm very pleased I decided to take the leap and acquire this one. The weight, case finishing and bracelet all feel very premium, particularly given what I paid. The crown and chrono pushers both feel very solid. In particular, this watch winds like a dream. The dial is, well, tons of fun. It may be too much for some but for the role I want this one to play in my collection it is exactly what I hoped for. You even get a 12 hour bi-directional bezel you can use to track a second time zone. In general I just feel like there's a ton of value here. Perhaps my favorite thing about the watch is the knurling on the bezel, crown and pushers. It's really distinctive and gives the watch a serious tool watch look. The side view of the crown and pushers with the crown guards is damn sexy. And oh, those bevels! To close, back to what had always held my back from Tudor - thickness concerns. There's definitely some heft here, but given that this model has a flat caseback that sits flush with the bottom of the case the watch does not feel excessively thick to me. The lugs also curve downward nicely. The curved lugs and the flat caseback make this one really hug the wrist. A very welcome addition to the collection and happy to finally join the Tudor club!

I had one of those for summer in 2019. It was really cool and came with a nato strap too. Good choice OP.

Nice pickup, sir! That's one I kept trying to love but just couldn't. The thickness held me back too. Sadly, it still does.

Just a superb Chronograph. This is one I actually prefer on the OEM NATO, but I certainly understand the appeal of the bracelet.
My favorite feature is the 12 hour of bezel, you essentially have a dual time chrono. Congrats! |

That is a beautiful Tudor. Very unique. I have also thought about that specific reference and may take the leap one day. Congratulations!

Well done, Matthew! That's a beauty. I was lucky enough to attend BaselWorld 2013 when the THC blue was released. It's sad so many grown men have a fear of heights, they are missing out on a great looking chronograph. Been enjoying mine for over a dozen years.

Ha, so when I was growing up I was a huge New York Mets fan. Loved Darryl Strawberry. I had every baseball card of his that was issued between his rookie year and roughly 1990 or so. The color combo on this watch really brings back some fond memories for me. |

One of the favorite watches from my past, congrats on a unique chronograph.
When the Heritage first came out Tudor was on hiatus from the US market. I saw them online and decided I needed one. I asked a reseller in the Phillipines I had bought several Oris from if he could get one for me. A few weeks later I had the grey dial version. My favorite story about it was one early morning on my way to work I stopped into a supermarket to get something for lunch. While at the self checkout a guy nearby said “excuse me but is your watch what I think it is?” He was as excited to see one as I was to have it. Wear it in good health. |

Congrats!
I picked mine up in 2015 and although it gets very little wrist time these days, it puts a smile on my face each time I do. I don't think the thickness itself was the issue, but the slabby non crown side of the case. |

I just might. I'll have to see how I get on with it on the bracelet this summer. It might be one that would work well on an Erika's Original strap? I've definitely had those thoughts.
Yes, most definitely there is a lot of case there. I don't think I could do it as a daily. However as a change of pace piece, like you said - a lot of fun! |
