Should this be included in the rolex i bought brand new at AD?
I was reading the booklet and the 1st thing i read was " the seal that comes witn your rolex is a symbol of it's status...." |

Why would he not get the green hang tag? I haven't bought a new one from an AD since 2011, but it came with the tag.

Do you mean the round green Rolex tag? If so, just buy one from eBay, no big deal.

I’ve had some (that I’ve bought from my AD over the years) that I’ve gotten the green (seal) hang tag with and some that I haven’t. It’s no big deal and doesn’t matter whatsoever. It doesn’t add (or take away) any value to the watch. (And don’t let anyone tell you it does!!)
I’m sure if you asked them, they’d give you one. |

Why not call the AD and ask them why it didn’t come with the hang tag? Maybe it’s lying around somewhere.

It is the Superlative Chronometer certification tag. It means something. I've never been given a Rolex without one. Some ADs may retain it by default or maybe just don't treat it as a big deal. You don't really need it but if you want it, they should give it to you.

All my Rolex watches have come with either the red or green tags I would return back to the AD if possible and ask for it!

it should be included in the box. it's part of the set, an important one.

It isn’t a big deal, but you should have it. Just call your AD and ask for it. We’ve all paid enough for these play things, tags, taking off protective stickers, etc. are just part of the experience.

You’re right, it should have been included. But it’s not that important if it wasn’t because you can easily buy one. If it was the white rectangle tag that’s actually important because it has the serial number on it. People will say it’s still a full set without the white tag but I disagree. The green round tag doesn’t have a serial number so you can get it anywhere anytime.

Just give them a call. They probably have an entire bucket of them. I’m sure they can mail you one. No big deal either way. They’re easily replaceable so a new future owner is unlikely to care. Did the AD give you the white tag? Mine always do. But I’ve bought a gray now and then that didn’t have it. It’s not that big of a deal to me.

I agree. Funny that the when my watch was handed to me, the didn't even took the stickers off it, gave it to me with everything except the white tag.

Just ask them to mail it to you... it’s so small that postage shouldn’t cost much at all. As others said, I think it adds to the experience of owning the whole set but I don’t think for one second that it adds value. Someone said it’s your “superlative chronometer seal” or whatever... if you need a little green tag with no reference to the accompanying watch to remind you of its accuracy, you bought the wrong watch lol. Perhaps if your watch’s serial number was on the green seal, then I’d place more importance on it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I had two ADs not provide it, I called both and each mailed me one the next day. I can only guess that most customers don't care about them and thus they just keep them.

Each new watch I have purchased from an AD came with one. They may have forgotten to include it. Shouldn’t be too much trouble to give you one.
