Icon20 Modern Cellini

I’m a fan. But I basically never see photos on here of modern Cellinis. I think they are completely underrated. Any owners care to post photos/discuss?

While not an owner, I purchased one last year for my dad. The piece is stunning. Pics don’t do it justice (tho I admit I’m not the greatest photographer) but the watch needs to be seen in person. The sharp angles of the indices and hands reflect light elegantly off the white dial. It is subtle, simple, perfection. Super underrated as a dress watch and the white gold gives it a good deal of heft. You just don’t see or notice a lot of them in the wild, which also adds to its allure. Definitely recommend taking a look in person if you’re interested!

They've had Cellini's in the window of the AD last time I was near it. They are absolutely gorgeous and I'd love to pick up a Cellini Time in RG.

I think they are great for the money, it's weird that they've never really taken off.

I'm a big fan too, relatively good value when priced against similar high end brand dress watches.

Rare too, which I like. If I was in the market for a sub $20k leather strap dress watch the Cellini would definitely be in the reckoning.

A couple of nice shots below.

I love them and have my eye on one but it has to wait in line There is a PP that needs to enter my collection first.

It has a hefty price tag and I think, that is slowing it down

I tried on the moon phase with a diamond bezel. It took my breath away, and then my wrist got angry at my wallet for giving it back.

Really like the look of this one. My AD never has this in inventory - special order only and I'm not ready to drop the $$$ yet on it.

I am a fan but can not part with the money to make the purchase. No secondary market and if a dealer will take the watch you will lose a lot. There are too many offerings from JLC, VC and IWC, just to name a few, that fall into this price range for Rolex to compete. Rolex should stay in its lane and just focus on what they do best.

One of my favorites in the collection.

Surely would lose as much if not more money with
One of those other brands?

Those moonphase Cellinis are so beautiful. I'd mentioned this in another thread, but I think the DD on leather would compete in this space. It's a shame they discontinued them.

I love these.

I'm weird but would like to see one offered with a metal bracelet.

Not against a Cellini. I’m a fan too, love the moonphase, but there’s an expectation of a finely decorated movement (preferably with display case back) in this segment and simply the Rolex’s workhorse motor counts against it.

That would look horrid imo.

The cellini moonphase is one of the most underrated watches out there

I love them. One in RG is on my list to get in the future if funds allow. There was one on display in my AD when I bought my SD43. It looked stunning and the way light reflected off the face made it look different from every angle.

I like the fact that they’re not instantly recognisable as a Rolex.

I hear they don’t hold value well as there’s limited wearability as just a dress watch , not sure if that’s true tho

I've seen the PLATINUM Cellini for $7k.
Great value!
I probably would buy it if it was automatic.

I've also seen a former POTUS wearing one.
I think current POTUS wears a YG DD.

I love the Cellinis but I just never liked wearing a watch with leather.
