I have inherited a collection of pens from my father who in-turn inherited them from my great uncle. My parents are in failing health and could use the money from these and I thought I would help them out by selling these. I have no idea what they are worth nor how to sell them. Any advise or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Unfortunately, not worth much at all. If anything. They are all very common pens. Your best bet would be eBay.

There might be a few. You need to have make and model. I would also post on the Fountain Pen Network. They have some very knowledgeable pen people over there.

You're second to last photo - brown set fountain pen and pencil - would be the most valuable. The engraving will hurt its value however. It is a double jeweled Parker 51 with sterling silver cap - you may get $150/200 for it. I would say $300 for the entire collection.

For the fountain pens, the nib type can command a premium if it's something rare or in demand.

I would definitely follow Frosty's recommendation and post this stuff on FPN for help.

Even though they are common, they are certainly worthy of being embraced!!!

Keep them. Use them if you can and appreciate the history.

Your best bet which has been stated already is to go to a Pen Forum and post there to see what their value may be!!!

Or keep them and give your parent some money for them...thus creating a Win-Win situation!!!
