Incoming VC!

After about a year on the waiting list and really thinking it would never happen (I thought my SA was just "saying" that he put me on the list). But the stars aligned and on Monday there was a text on my phone to give my SA a call. I called and he asked if I was still interested in the watch and I said "yes." He then said he could make it happen if I was willing and able to pay on the spot and I said another "yes." I'm still in shock because I thought it would never happen, but sometimes it pays to be persistent and lucky.

I've now completed the Trinity and feel like I've got a watch for every occasion. Of course, I'm contemplating some sort of travel time and some sort of calendar (perhaps a more dressy watch). But beyond happy at the moment.

Very nice! I’m particularly impressed that this particular choice of pieces, including the VC, have interesting dials or complications as opposed to being standard time/date only.
Which AP model is in the upper left corner?

The 38mm Royal Oak Chronograph. When I started collecting, I mainly liked chronographs because I liked how the dials looked. I still do like interesting dials, but have grown to like variety in terms of complications and brands.

I appreciate all of the comments. I’m still really surprised I got the call. Every time I’ve emailed or contacted VC I heard variations of how popular the Retrograde was and occasionally they would reply with other watches that were available. I’m definitely a proponent of buying what you like but I also only want watches that I would occasionally choose to wear over ones I already have. It has been a very tough last few years for those of us who like a little brand diversity. Building “relationships” with multiple brands isn’t easy although I guess Patek pulling my AD’s status at least made me direct my efforts towards VC.

Congrats!
4000V and 5520V Panda are by far my top favorites among the Overseas collection!
