The opportunity arose so I took it.
Was at my AD over the weekend to pick up some paperwork on a previous watch that I purchased. I was looking at different pieces and not planning on buying when my sales rep tells me to hold on to show me a watch. He disappeared for a bit then comes out of the back to open up the Rolex box to this beauty. I literally got butterflies when I saw what was in the box. Needless to say I bought it.
Trust me, it didn't just happen out of the blue. It was suppose to happen two years or so ago and then again last year but other big fish kept pushing in front of me. I am definitely ecstatic as it will add nicely to the ever growing collection and especially along side the white dial ceramic Daytona; which in my opinion doesn't look as nice as the black dial. Maybe I'm just smitten over the black dial right now. At the end of the day, don't give up on the watch you want or for that matter anything you want. Persistents will pay off in the long run. Terrific story! I am on the waitlist with my AD for a SS Daytona. I like the black dial version, but will take a white dial.
