Two Tone Obsession

I know it's not everyone's cup of tea but I love my two tones, especially gold with white dials...my first Rolex I bought and have to this day is a gold TT datejust from about 2016/2017 with a white diamond dial, oyster strap....I added a similar Daytona colorway earlier this year and have been itching to get a similar colored Skydweller....unfortunately the retail price in Saudi can be off putting so I planned to possibly get it on a trip to London this April where it would be about 1400 pounds/1800 dollars cheaper retail.....

Long story short, got the opportunity to source the watch from neighboring Qatar AD where there's no tax.....snapped up the opportunity and saved myself $2800/2250 pounds over Saudi retail (the watch in Qatar is actually 850 pounds cheaper retail than in the UK)...

Absolutely love the watch, especially the intense white dial which can give off an egg shell pearlescent effect which is almost silver at times....learned how to set all the features...will be my new daily....

I’m here for it!!! Team TT

I have the same SkyD and a Bluesy, two of my favorites.

Tell me about the Daytona, very interested in one of those. Any legibility issues?

Two stunners! The TT white dial combo is pure class and a timeless classic. Looks amazing with a white polo... also pairs nicely with khaki, beige, tan, sand or yellow tones... and of course, looks great with suit and tie.

Saw a TT Daytona black dial in Savannah today. Gorgeous watch. I’ve been hunting a TT Sub for a few months now, it comes soon.

Great choice! I know many don’t like TT, especially with yellow gold, but I love my new TT Wimbledon with fluted dial on Oyster bracelet. So, I totally get it. Big congrats. You have great taste.

Beautiful watch! Congratulations. I'm a TT lover as well, especially on a jubilee. I have the GMT GRNR, Bluesy and a 41mm Datejust with a Wimbledon dial on a jubilee.

Another thumbs up for the TT. My husband has the black dial 16613, and just a few days ago I saw my all time favorite, the “Bluesy” Sub, “in the wild.”

I also like the white and silver dial TT Daytona.

Beautiful watches. I also like TT watches. My DJ 41 is TT (fluted/oyster) with a white dial and it looks amazing.

Congrats on the watch. I think wearing two-tone is perfect for those aged 35-45.

Very nice pair! I was not into TT myself but now I really value it, I find SS a bit plain at times, esp compared to AP and PP SS, and full gold can sometimes be a bit weighty at the end of the day and a bit loud esp in London where watches are famously very much on the radar now, so I'm finding TT a nice compromise of the two, and no one does it better than Rolex, I think I'll be on the lookout for a nice new sexy TT Daytona at WW.

Big fan of TT here. Love my TT on white Daytona. Had a TT Explorer, but it just wore too small for me. Maybe a TT Explorer 40 is on the horizon...

Love the TT SkyD, just doesn't fit my wrist.

Congratulations! I have the same TT Daytona and a Blue dial Sky Dweller on Oyster. Great minds think alike, but sometimes in different colors

Thanks!

Thank You for all your kind comments, I didn't realize there was so much two tone love.

Fun story how I obtained this watch which could have me described as passionate or certifiable.....

So I got confirmation at about 2:45pm from the AD in Doha that he had exactly the watch I was looking for, so I asked him to hold it till the weekend so I could pick it up as its about a one hour flight from where I am located in Saudi....he said that was against their policy....so I found myself on a 5:30 flight to Doha that very same day, not really knowing if it would be sold by the time I got there although with Ramadan store hours things were in my favor..

So in just 5 hrs from receiving the text in Saudi, I had rushed to the airport and was outside the Rolex AD in Qatar by 7:45...bought the watch when they opened up at 8 and was on a 1:30 am flight back.....

Mission successful....brought back a beautiful watch at a great price and had fish and chips at the Harrods Tea room at Doha Airport...Good Days....
