Next Rolex, Extremely Lucky Situation - Help Me!

Just looking for casual advice and thoughts and am open to any commentary whatsoever.

I've found myself in the incredibly fortunate position to purchase a steel Rolex sports model from a friend who's consolidating his collection in pursuit of diversifying into independents.

I have my choice between the 126710BLRO GMT on Jubilee, the 126610LV Starbucks Sub, or a 124060 No-Date Sub. Unfortunately he's keeping his black dial 126500LN, which I don't blame him for, but that would have been my obvious choice if it was an option.

To top it off, only the 124060 has been worn. The Pepsi and Starbucks are both essentially brand new, having been purchased and stashed away without being worn, which is making this even more difficult of a decision.

I can't make up my mind. I'd love the 126710BLRO as I'm in the consulting field and always working on projects with clients located around the globe where tracking another timezone is critical. In addition to being a somewhat frequent traveler as a byproduct of my career, it means the GMT would shine in its practicality - plus I love the Jubilee bracelet, which I have on my blue dial 126200 DJ and love.

On the other hand, either Sub model makes sense for me as I live in south Florida with a 5 minute walk to the nearest beach. I'm big on getting out and doing anything involving the water and the Sub is the obvious choice given how often I find myself in the water or near it, plus I love the idea of it being so robust that it could be an easier daily wear, above my DJ and likely above the GMT.

Which should I pick? I know the availability and desirability of the 126710BLRO might make some immediately say to opt for it in lieu of either Sub, but I just don't know. Both models fit my lifestyle and hobbies, so they're on par with each other in my mind... and I recognize how this is probably a once-in-a-lifetime scenario so I'm keen to capitalize on this as best as possible.

Please, tell me what you kind folk think.

The 41mm green sub sounds like your choice and it’s a good one

I'd opt for the Pepsi. It's far more likely that you'd be able to find the 126610LV for a good price on the secondary market (should you want to add that piece as well in the future)

Get the Pepsi

You can wear it every single day at the beach and on your travels.

You can get the submariner anytime in the future if you need

Flip a coin - if you’re happy with the result - done. If you’re disappointed, then choose the other one.

This doesn’t always work - good luck!

Definitely the Pepsi! It’s the hardest one to get, and you can take it in the water, just like the Sub.

If he’s giving them to you at retail you should take the Pepsi and figure it out later. Will give you the best position to trade from if you change your mind later.
It’s free money.

No one has asked how much your friend is asking for the watches...so, how much is he asking for the watches?

The Pepsi is the keeper, it can do everything you want the Sub to do.

You can't go wrong with either selection; it seems you are inclined to the Sub more, as fantastic as the BLRO, which is a more dressy and flashy watch than the Sub.

What about the classic forum answer? Both, I mean all three!

But maybe more interestingly, what independents will your friend be buying? And can he get me a Rexhepi?

To give you a serious answer to your question (unless buying them all is an option), it seems BLRO would be a good choice.

Green Sub… I guess subs are the most comfy Rolex watches to wear…

Pepsi no question. It's still 100 meter water resistant, which, yes, is clearly less than the sub, but still enough to be considered an ISO compliant dive watch and good enough for recreational diving much less simply being around water or swimming.

The GMT also has unique functionality the sub doesn't which fits your lifestyle perfectly.

And the cherry on top is that it's a way more desirable watch overall so it'll retain more value and it's way harder to get from an AD. You'll have no problem getting an LV sub in the future if you ever decided you want both, but you'll have a hell of a time getting a Pepsi.

Great position to be in. I’d go for the Pepsi but they are all great so you can’t really lose
