I can vouch for Aamir having done many deals over the years with him.

On your risk management proposition, I get it. But it's not the standard here.

Maybe ask if he'd go with a 3rd party escrow service for your deal?

He is well known on the forum as a trusted seller. Your request and expectation for someone unrelated to back your transaction with their money do exceed that of a normal one.

Also- this vouch you’re looking for is only as good as the word of the individual making it.

If you’re still uncomfortable, flying to meet face to face may make sense for you depending on the dollar amount involved.
